Meet Carla
Hi, I'm Carla.
For over a decade, I have been using mindfulness and meditation and strategies to navigate through my life more skillfully. I have experienced first hand how helpful these strategies are, when used along with other healing practices in allowing me to navigate difficult transitions in my own life with grace and gratitude.
Are you experiencing one of life’s major transitions? Even a joyful sea-change can feel overwhelming to navigate. I have been through many changes myself and have created a new life for myself that works, and allows me to more fully and authentically express myself. I can help you to do the same.
I am trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindful Self-Compassion, am a certified Life Coach, and am also a certified Reiki Master practitioner. I am now able to use my personal expertise and experience with these practices to bring them to others who are working through transitions in their lives, to move ahead with clarity and confidence.
I am also available to work in corporate and educational environments to create meaningful presentations, with practical strategies for each person in the group to take away. During a long career in the public school system, I explored my passion for mindfulness by developing and delivering many group presentations introducing mindfulness to large and small groups of specialists, students, and teachers. Upon retiring from the school system in 2018, I was credited with bringing Mindfulness to the school district as a whole, including the decision to adopt Restorative Practices as their model, in place of the more traditional, punitive model of discipline.
